The exterior of the new Quest takes its design cues from sedans with a lower greenhouse. The reduced height of the windows gives the vehicle a less boxy look, despite the traditional flat roofline that minivans have had for decades. Wraparound rear side windows achieve further softening of the boxy look. Inside, the new Nissan Quest picks up most of the current Nissan interior design elements, including the curvy dashboard, electro-luminescent gauges and centralized audio/navigation controls. Theater-style layout with raised second and third rows offers passengers excellent visibility and a good view from both rows of the available 11-inch entertainment system monitor.

The Quest is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 260 horsepower and 240 lb.-ft. of torque, teamed to Nissan’s Xtronic continuously variable transmission. EPA-estimated fuel economy is 19 mpg city/24 mpg highway. Four wheel independent suspension with struts in front and multi-link design in rear balance comfort and handling. Safety features include antilock brakes with electronic force distribution and brake assist, stability and traction control, tire pressure monitoring and six airbags – front, side-impact and side-curtain.

While the Quest S model offers the basics, the SV, SL, and LE models offer more convenience and sophistication, including 4.3-inch color audio display, USB port with iPod connectivity, Bluetooth hands-free phone system, rearview monitor, Homelink, Nissan Navigation, XM Satellite Radio, Bose premium audio system, DVD entertainment system with wireless headphones, tri-zone automatic climate control, blind spot warning system, high-intensity discharge xenon headlights, and dual opening glass moonroofs.
